Number Theory and Arithmetic Geometry

The Mathematics Department of the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Number Theory and Arithmetic Geometry to begin in the fall term of 2019, pending budgetary approval. A Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences or a closely related discipline is required. We seek excellence in teaching and research so applicants should demonstrate substantial research accomplishment and dedication to teaching. Applicants should supply (a) a cover letter, (b) a CV, (c) a statement of research accomplishments and future plans, (d) a brief description of teaching interests, (e) a brief description of how your research, teaching or service demonstrates a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and (f) at least three letters of reference.
