One-year Lecturer Position

The University of New Hampshire (UNH) Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a non-tenure-track position to teach courses in mathematics during the 2017-18 academic year. This is an 88%-time, 1-year position with full benefits. The teaching load is five courses for the academic year. We are seeking a candidate highly qualified in teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level.

UNH is the primary university in the University System of New Hampshire. It has approximately 14,500 students and is situated in the beautiful seacoast area of southern New Hampshire, in close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains, and only 60 miles from Boston with convenient bus and train service. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers programs in mathematics, mathematics education, applied mathematics and statistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Department faculty members have many opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and research.

We are seeking a candidate highly qualified in teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level. Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, or a Ph.D.in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, or satisfied the requirements for a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related discipline by 21 August 2017. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Mathematics Education. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
