Apply by December 15, 2017, for priority consideration The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Delaware State University seeks a tenure-track Assistant /Associate Professor in Mathematics starting in the Fall of 2018. A Ph.D. in Mathematics with a concentration in analysis or algebra is required. In addition to possessing excellent communication skills, the candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to teach both graduate and undergraduate levels. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to undertake research with DSU colleagues in federal or state funded research projects. He or she will have a proven research/teaching capability in their area of specialization and be able to teach successfully lower and intermediate level courses in mathematics. As a successful candidate and a new faculty member, he/she will work in an exciting environment that encourages collaborative and multi-disciplinary approaches to expand and strengthen the department research goals. Supervision of graduate students is required. The Department offers undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, and Mathematics Education; Master's degrees in Mathematics; and Ph.D.’s. in Interdisciplinary Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics. Delaware State University (DSU) has a diverse faculty and student population of more than 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
