Penn State Altoona invites applications for one position in Mathematics or Statistics beginning in Fall 2017. The position is for a full-time instructor whose duties involve primarily teaching and requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in either Mathematics or Statistics. The appointment is for one year. Applicants must be approved to begin working by August 2017. Applicants should submit a letter of application establishing their qualifications, a current curriculum vitae, a description of teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching effectiveness, transcripts (official transcripts required at the time of an interview), and at least three letters of reference. One of the letters of reference should specifically address the applicant’s teaching. Review of applications will begin the week of July 10, and continue until the position is filled.
