A postdoc position in Combinatorics/GeometryFaculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University (Prague) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Combinatorics/Geometry.The position will be funded by the Primus Research Programme "Algebraic methods in discrete geometry and topology" led by Zuzana Patáková. The ideal candidates should be capable to work on problems within the framework of the grant project. Possible research topics include (but are not restricted to) discrete and computational geometry and topology, algebraic and topological combinatorics, polynomial method. Knowledge of Czech is not necessary. Due to restrictions of the grant, applicants must have received their Ph.D. within the last 8 years. The expected duration of the position is October 1, 2021 - December 31, 2023. Starting date is negotiable, but the position cannot go beyond December 31, 2023. The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University is the leading institution in mathematics in the Czech republic, with highly motivated and well educated students in our mathematics programs. The School of Mathematics has about 110 academic positions, covering most of the major areas of mathematics. The Department of Algebra, where the position will be hosted, offers an open minded international environment, with outstanding conditions for independent research.
