Reed College invites applications for a one-year visiting faculty position in statistics for the Fall 2020-Spring 2021 academic year. The successful candidate would teach the equivalent of five semester courses per year, supervise senior theses, and participate in pedagogical and curricular discussions related to our growing statistics and data science program.

Ideally applicants should have a Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics and be committed to excellence in teaching statistics. Candidates with degrees in fields outside of statistics may be considered if they have sufficient training in statistics and have data analysis experience. Proficiency with the statistical software package R is required. We welcome applications from individuals who may have had nontraditional career paths or who have achieved excellence in statistical careers outside of academia.
