Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Quantum Information Science 
Department of Mathematics 
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences 
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign 

 The Department of Mathematics invites applications for one full-time tenure-track faculty position in the mathematics of quantum information science. Mathematical quantum information science (QIS) is part of a larger UIUC interdisciplinary focus on quantum information science and technology. Mathematicians working in any field related to QIS, in particular quantum information theory, are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, to establish and maintain an active and independent research program, and to provide service to the department, the university and the profession. Salary and teaching load are competitive. 

Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Mathematics or related field at time of appointment, and are expected to present evidence of excellence in research and teaching.
