The Instituto de Matemáticas at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) seeks candidates for full-time tenure-track professor positions in the area of: Inverse problems in differential equations and harmonic analysis. Starting on September 1st, 2021, or later.
The position is for the branch of the Institute in the city of Cuernavaca. UNAM is the leading university of Mexico, and among the strongest research Math institutions in Latin America. Qualifications include postdoctoral experience (or equivalent experience), effective communication skills, commitment to teaching excellence, and an active research program in Mathematics.
Responsibilities include, maintaining a strong research program, teaching one course per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level in a topic of interest to the candidate, and advising students.
Applicants must be at most 37 years old (male) and 39 years old (women); at the start of the contract.
