The Department of Mathematics at the University of Maryland is seeking to fill the new position of Michael and Eugenia Brin E-nnovate Chair. Applicants must present evidence of accomplishments that are both outstanding in their field and have had a significant impact in the applications of Mathematics and/or Statistics. Candidates will have proven themselves as established or rising leaders in all aspects of research, undergraduate and graduate education, and mentoring of junior faculty. The position offers significant possibilities for interdisciplinary collaboration due to the Mathematics Department’s links with other units, centers, and institutes at the University of Maryland, including IPST, CSCAMM, and AMSC. Duties of the Chair will include developing a regular partnership with either Federal agencies, commercial industry or another Maryland academic institution.
