The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Alabama invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track position as Lecturer of Mathematics beginning August 2022. Salary is commensurate with degree and experience. The Department of Mathematics offers BA, BS, and MS degrees in Mathematics. Review of applications will being immediately and continue until the position has been filled.

Teaching responsibilities will include beginning undergraduate mathematics courses (with the possibility of undergraduate and online graduate courses aimed at teachers) with a regular annual teaching load of 30 credits. Applicants must have a love for teaching and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, be willing to work as a collegial team member, and be able to serve on departmental committees.

The successful applicant must hold a master’s or doctoral degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or a related area by August 2022 with at least 18 hours of graduate mathematics coursework.
