Position Description

Functions: teaching, research, community service and instructional leadership

Requirements: • Hold a Ph.D. in Statistics.

Experience: The candidate must: • Have experience teaching statistics and probability at the university level, with knowledge of university teaching technologies. • Be actively involved in research in fundamental statistics and demonstrate an interest in applied research, particularly in applied statistics, applied probability, and data science. • Contribute to the development of the Ph.D. program in Statistics. • Have experience in statistical consulting. • Experience in collaborative, interdisciplinary, or intersectoral research will be considered an asset.

Others: • Demonstrate an interest in university pedagogy and the supervision of graduate students at the master’s and doctoral levels. • Participate in the activities of the Statistical Consulting Service. • Take part in initiatives promoting statistics and its diverse applications. • Show a commitment to scientific outreach and raising public awareness. • Submit the application package in French.
