ACADEMIC POSITION
INSTITUTE OF MATHEMATICS
VRD 103-2025
The Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, consistent with its educational model and the excellence of its academic departments, announces a public call for applications to fill a full-time tenure-track position. In this academic area, candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics (or related fields).
REQUIREMENTS
Ph.D. in Mathematics (or related fields).
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related fields from a nationally or internationally recognized quality program.
Research line in Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations.
EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year of university-level teaching experience with strong references.
International collaboration networks.
A publication record sufficient to apply for Regular or Initiation Fondecyt research grants in the stated research line.
SKILLS
Ability to work in a team and management skills (e.g., organizing seminars, conferences, etc.). Availability to participate in the activities and programs of the Institute of Mathematics.
