Mathematics, Oregon State University

The primary mission of the OSU Department of Mathematics is undergraduate education, graduate education, and research in algebra/number theory, analysis, applied mathematics, geometry/topology, mathematics education, numerical analysis, and probability. The Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees. The Department offers undergraduate minors in mathematics, actuarial sciences, and mathematical sciences. The Department has approximately 100 undergraduate majors, 50 graduate students, and teaches roughly 5,000 students per term. The faculty includes about 25 permanent and 9 part-time members.
