Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)

Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at Tufts University invites applications for a tenure-track position in pure mathematics, beginning Fall 2023, at the assistant professor level. Preference will be given to applicants who strengthen or bridge areas of pure mathematics already represented in our department, particularly Geometric Group Theory, Number Theory, Dynamics, Algebra, and Geometry. Applicants must hold a doctorate in Mathematics by the beginning of the appointment. They must also have an active research program, show evidence of outstanding research, and exhibit a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.

Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a research statement detailing current research and future plans, a teaching statement, and a diversity statement which includes any experience working with diverse groups of students and/or inclusive pedagogy.
