Responsibilities include teaching entry-level undergraduate mathematics courses. If appointed as Assistant Teaching Professor, in addition to the above, responsibilities may include also teaching advanced courses in mathematics depending upon qualifications.
This position is non-tenure track, but renewable pending satisfactory job performance, availability of funding, and program needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Teaching experience at the college level.
For appointment at the rank of Lecturer, a Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field expected by August 22, 2022.
For appointment at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, a PhD in mathematics or a related field expected by August 22, 2022.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
Completed Master’s or Doctorate degree at the time of application;
Strong academic record in mathematics;
A record of teaching at the college level that includes being an instructor of record for at least two different mathematics courses.
Ability to teach a wide variety of courses.
Evidence of high-quality teaching and commitment to student success.
Record of engagement with or commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in higher education.
One or more of the following:
Interest or experience in teaching or coordinating multi-section courses.Interest or experience in mentoring undergraduate research.
Interest or experience in advancing curricular excellence through: improving pedagogy; developing courses or curriculum; or otherwise engaging in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Northern Arizona University requires satisfactory results for the following: a criminal background investigation, an employment history verification and a degree verification (in some cases) prior to employment.
