The Department of Mathematics at National Taiwan University is offering 2 postdoctoral positions funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). The initial appointment is for 2 years with possibility of further appointment. Minimum monthly salary is NTD$60000 (~USD$2000). Applicants should have a PhD degree in Mathematics or an equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to those who have a strong background in PDE analysis. Programming and numerical PDEs experience is a plus.

The successful candidate will work with Dr. Van Tien Nguyen - the P.I of the research project “Singularity formation in Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations”. There is an opportunity for a research stay (1-2 months) in Paris to collaborate with experts at CY Cergy Paris University, University Paris Dauphine, University Sorbonne Paris Nord.
