Position Description
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in applied mathematics or mathematics at the assistant professor level beginning in August 2024. Candidates for this position are required to have a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or related field by the time of appointment. Candidates must also have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. The standard teaching load for this position is three courses per semester at all levels of the undergraduate mathematics curriculum. Hillsdale College offers majors in both mathematics and applied mathematics and the mathematics department graduates approximately 30 majors per year. In addition, the department has active student involvement in the applied mathematics club, mathematics problem solving club, mathematics colloquium, mathematics honor society, and coding club. Hillsdale College, founded in 1844, is an independent, coeducational, four-year liberal arts college of 1,450 students.
