Position Description
The Faculty of Mathematics at the Ruhr-University Bochum has an opening for a full-time position as Research Associate, TV-E 13, (postdoc) The applicant will work at the chair of Prof. Dr. Holger Dette (https://math.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/en/faculty/professorships/stochastics/group-dette/). The chair offers a wide research field in the area of stochastics (see https://math.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/en/faculty/professorships/stochastics/group-dette/staff/holger-dette/). The term of appointment is for 2 years (postdoc), an extension is possible. The prerequisite for this appointment is a PhD in mathematics or statistics. The participation in the research unit 5381 “Mathematical Statistics in the Information Age” (https://for5381.uni-freiburg.de/en/research-unit-5381/) is expected.
