Non-Tenure-Track Norbert Wiener Fellow

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a Norbert Wiener Fellow in Dynamical Systems to begin September 1, 2023, and lasting up to three years pending satisfactory review. Preference will be given to candidates with the potential for interaction with researchers in the department. This could be in applications of dynamical systems (Boghosian, Börgers, and collaborators) or in geometrically motivated hyperbolic dynamics (Hasselblatt and possibly also Walsh, Duchin or others).

The teaching load will be the equivalent of two courses per semester and will include teaching of courses at the service level as well as upper-level courses in the undergraduate curriculum related to Dynamical Systems.

Doctorate in Mathematics is required. Applicants must show promise of outstanding research and evidence of excellent teaching.

Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a research statement, and a teaching statement. All of these documents should be submitted electronically through https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/list/21545. In addition, applicants should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted electronically on their behalf through https://www.mathjobs.org. The cover letter should include a statement describing the candidate’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. If a recommender cannot submit online, we will also accept signed PDF attachments sent to Christopher.Stundon@Tufts.edu or paper letters mailed to Search Committee Chair, Department of Mathematics, 177 College Avenue, Tufts University, Medford, MA 02155.

Review of applications will begin on January 15, 2022, and will continue until the position is filled.
