Fellowship Description

Position Description:
The Centre Interuniversitaire en Calcul Mathématique Algébrique (CICMA) laboratory of Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (CRM) in Montreal invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Number Theory. This position will be partially funded by the NOVA-FRQNT-CRSNG grant "p-adic methods in number theory: eigenvarieties and cohomology of Shimura varieties for the study of L-functions and Galois representations". Candidates should have recently obtained or expect to obtain a Ph.D. in Algebraic Number Theory or related areas. This position offers an annual stipend of at least 50,000 CAD per year, including benefits, for a maximum of two years, conditional on positive re-evaluation. The successful candidate will be hired by Concordia University, and is expected to carry out this fellowship in Concordia University and the University of Ottawa, working with Dr. Giovanni Rosso and Dr. Antonio Lei, as well as other members of the CICMA laboratory. Teaching opportunities can be arranged, but there is no obligation for teaching duties with this position.
