The Mathematics Department invites applications for a part-time career instructor. Competitive applicants will be capable of outstanding teaching at all undergraduate levels, in both large and small classroom environments. The teaching load for a full-time instructor is ten classes per year spread out over three terms, with reductions available for teaching large or difficult courses; since this is a part-time position, the teaching load will be seven classes per year rather than ten. There is also an expectation of a limited amount of departmental service. 

Minimum Qualifications: Advanced degree in mathematics, math education, or a related field. 

Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience at the university level. 

Professional Competencies: Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; ability to equitably assess student work; ability to clearly communicate mathematical concepts to university students.
