Position Description

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Mount Allison University invites applications for a 4.5-month position to teach Computer Science. Candidates must have an MSc or PhD in Computer Science or related field, PhD preferred, and be able to show a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.

The successful candidate will teach two on-campus undergraduate courses in Computer Science in the Winter 2026 academic term, which are provisionally planned to be Programming Techniques and Algorithms (COMP 1731), which includes a weekly three-hour lab conducted in Java, and Algorithm Analysis (COMP 3611). Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching experience and interests, and letters from three referees with at least one (preferably two) addressing teaching skills. In their cover letter, applicants should comment on their preparedness to teach both lower-year and upper-year CS courses; and ethics, equity, diversity and inclusion curricula in a CS context.
