The Department of Mathematics at the University of Arizona welcomes applications for Postdoctoral Research Associates. Pending funding approval, these appointments are beginning in Fall 2023. The teaching commitment is nine units per year, which is the equivalent of three one-semester courses per academic year. Depending on availability of such appointments, all applicants will also be considered for named postdoctoral positions, which carry a reduced teaching load.

In addition, the University of Arizona offers presidential postdoctoral fellowships in all areas of scholarship, including Mathematics. These appointments present “an exceptional opportunity to recruit potential new faculty to the University whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to the diversity and equal opportunity at UArizona.” Applicants interested in these positions should apply separately at https://presidentspostdoc.arizona.edu/

Through the present posting, the Department of Mathematics seeks Postdoctoral Research Associate candidates with excellent research potential and a strong commitment to teaching, who will contribute to and benefit from our department's rich environment. We create, communicate, and apply mathematics of the highest caliber through activities such as internationally recognized research and graduate education, award winning undergraduate programs, and extensive outreach to local schools. Postdoctoral Research Associates benefit from a robust program of professional development, see http://postdoc.math.arizona.edu for details.

Candidates should identify up to three faculty as potential mentors, and explain how their research can both benefit from, and enhance, our research endeavors within their Cover Letter.

Review of applicants will begin on 12/01/2022. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
