The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Joseph’s University (formerly College), NY invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics position beginning fall 2022. This position may be renewed for up to 3 years based upon evidence of excellent teaching and continued administrative approval. This position has the potential to lead into a full-time Mathematics faculty tenure track position. Completion or imminent completion of the Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field is required, and undergraduate teaching experience is preferred. Candidates must be committed to outstanding teaching and continuing scholarly activity. St. Joseph’s University Long Island campus is located in Patchogue, LI, about 60 miles from New York City. Candidates will be evaluated on their potential for teaching excellence, ability to teach a range of mathematics classes in a liberal arts environment, and potential to engage undergraduate students in research and projects.
